Who owns Copyright?

If you pay for the shoot and state your purpose, (i.e., portfolio or website) you own the copyright of the images. Image Creation is still allowed to use these shots for self-promotion, but not for financial gain, unless you sign a model release form. This is an area which should be discussed prior to the shoot, and the conditions adjusted accordingly.

For example, a shoot may be arranged at no charge to the model as a test shoot, but if the images are subsequently used then the model will be paid in accordance with
the conditions that were originally negotiated. For example, if you were to pose
for a calendar test shoot mutually at no charge, and those images were
accepted for publication, your shoot fee would be deducted from those
payments.

In plain English, if the shots don’t get published, you don’t pay.
